Supporters of HR 485, The National Nurse Act of 2013 are fantastic and we know we can continue to count on you. The National Nursing Network Organization (NNNO) is unique because it is completely volunteer and made up of grassroots supporters just like you. Most have full time jobs, and none have ever accepted money for their NNNO advocacy work.
Whereas many organizations and campaigns can hire lobbyists/government relation specialists who are paid to go to Congress and advocate on their behalf, this is not the case with the NNNO. We have no paid lobbyists, just determined nurses. These other organizations frequently pay a stipend or honorarium to their Board of Directors. The nurses who serve on the National Nursing Network Organization Board receive no compensation.
Please consider making a recurring on line recurring monthly donation via this PayPal link. Recurring donations of five or ten dollars a month add up and help to offset our costs for maintaining National Nurse websites, this newsletter, printing, and travel expenses for Board members who are willing to make the trip to Washington. Going to Capitol Hill for face-to-face meetings with legislators and their staff is vital. These annual spring and fall trips are what move this legislation forward.
Single contributions are also welcome! For each supporter who contributes $20 or more, the team will place a certificate in your honor inside an informational packet that will be hand-delivered to your US Representative or Senators during our 2013 March trip to Washington DC.
Please join us, lend your support and empower nurses to make this vision for nursing possible. Thank you for the donations we have already received from supporters living in Alaska, Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, and Washington. Together, nurses will make a National Nurse for Public Health a reality. We could not continue this important mission without your support!
The NNNO is a 501c4 non-profit organization, but is tax exempt (because our purpose is to lobby for the initiative) and therefore your contributions are NOT tax deductible.
