National Nurse Act of 2013 Gains Endorsements

Thank you to the American Assisted Living Nurses Association and the American Association for Long Term Care Nursing for endorsing the National Nurse act of 2013. These organizations join several others from the Coalition of Geriatric Nursing Organizations who had previously given permission to be added to the Signatory Letter in support of H.R. 485 and S. 1475 that is being delivered to Congress.

Executive Director Charlotte Eliopoulos RN, MPH, PhD states, “The American Association for Long Term Care Nursing, representing all levels of nursing staff who care for persons with chronic conditions and who are of advanced age, is committed to policies that promote health and well-being of these underserved populations. For this reason, it supports H.R. 485, The National Nurse Act of 2013, and its companion Senate bill S. 1475.”

If your organization is interested in receiving a copy of the Signatory Letter or learning how they too can endorse these bills, please email the NNNO Board.
